CCA Events Calendar – 2015
We are happy to say that the CCA continues its significantly expanded presence around the country at annual events, swaps and conventions. In 2014, the CCA was present at no less than 6 major events or swap meets around the country. This included our participation in the 100th ARRL convention in Hartford, CT where Jim Stitinger brought his Collins S-Line van back for its second visit some 50 years later.
In 2015, we will hold 5 events throughout the year and span the country from Orlando on the east coast to Southern California in the west. It is our hope that all of you can find the time to join us at one of the dinners, or at least come by the booth and say howdy. You will find us at Orlando in February, Dayton in May, Dallas in June, the AWA convention in New York in August and then out on the west coast in September or October at a time and location to be announced. Keep watching here as the details are locked down for the end of the year.
As our membership grows, it is nice to be able to get together personally and share ideas and photos and just plain get to know each other better. We hope you can make at least one of these happenings. As the events below get closer, there will be an internal link for the CCA registration that you will need. Events that are further out right now will have just an external link for your information and preplanning. Hope to see you there.

Orlando, Florida –HamCation
February 13 – 15 Second Annual – 2015 – Meeting & Dinner
It’s not every year that a group turns 21. There is something special about “coming of age”, so come and have some fun with your Collins friends.
At HamCation 2015 – The CCA will again have a double booth and hospitality area in Commercial Building 2 Tables 301 to 304 (Just on the right as you come in the commercial building doors.)
Friday evening, the 13th, we will have a dinner for the group (CCA Members and Non-Members Invited) at the Golden Coral Restaurant (in a bigger room) located in a safe area about 20 minutes away from the Fair Ground HamCation site. Dayton Hamvention – 2015
May 15 – 17 CCA Annual Meeting & Banquet
Special 21st Birthday Collins Collectors Association Anniversary (It’s our 21st Birthday)
Every year, we have a wonderful Dayton. It has long been our “Main Event” for the year and certainly our largest. If you want to have a great time and meet your fellow CCA members, this is the time to do it.
This year we are again planning a very special weekend. We will have the double sized booth, a nice social area and exciting displays. Come take a break, chat with your fellow Collins friends and meet the management of your association.
On a serious note, please be aware that we have abandoned the Ramada Plaza Hotel as our hotel venue and have a new arrangement. The errors and run down condition at the Ramada were finally too much to take. See the Details link below for our Hotel and Dinner arrangements. You will love the new hotel. It is more convenient – as is the now separate dinner restaurant where they have guaranteed us great food and treatment. Check it out. Book early this year – the town is fast filling up.

Dallas & Ft. Worth/Irving Ham-Com & Dinner – 2015 (Ham-Com has moved)
June 12-13 CCA Annual Dinner & Booth – You will again see some Rare Collins
This is apparently the year for change. The Dallas Ham-Com is also changing venues and will now be at the Irving Convention Center which is centered between Dallas and Fort Worth. This will give more folks a chance to come – and the event promises to be bigger and better than last year.
