Hi,

Just recently joined. I have all the bits to make a HF Airborne 618T work but minus the rear amphenol 32 pin female connector to the 714 ccontrol unit. Would anyone know of a source for these rare plugs?

Hi Bill,
I got the same transceiver and have no connectors either. Did you find a source somewhere?
Regards.

Hi Michael,

Good to hear there's at least one other with similar interest as myself because so far it has been a lonely quest.

I have a home brew 25v 40A psu and a 100vac 400hz inverter. I have a rear 618 connecter, sourced Fair Radio, Ohio,,,not cheap at $50 inc p+p. I have canabilized a 25 pin rs232 female connector to give me the connections to the rear of the 714e-3 control unit and now I'm in the process of wiring the 50 odd conductor harness to link the 2.

Can't wait to get it on the air with 400w pep. They're supposed to be quite good as is most Collins equipment. I try to stay clear if possible of Far East mass produced radio and like a bit of a challange.

Regards,

Bill
