I'm restoring this rig that came with the pulley shaft from the PA cage disengaged from the chassis mount. This left the cord in a "birds nest" with both ends still attached to the other pulley on the bandswitch in one big loop. I've tried to rewrap the cord around the PA shaft pulley but can't seem to get it done.
I have looked at removing one end of the cord from the bandswitch pulley to actually restring it but the tab on that pulley that holds both ends of the cord in place is pushed in so far that I can't get even the smallest tool in to bend it up to remove the cord. PLUS I wonder, at this age, if the tab might break if bent.
So, I'm stumped. Am I overlooking something obvious here?
