I recently aquired a complete AN/URC32A KWT-6 and it works quite well. However even after reading the 300 plus page tech manual and the 23 page operation manual I have several questions.
Question 1:
Regarding the "Operate/Tune" switch on the CV-731/URC what is the correct position for the switch? I notice that in the "Tune" position the AFC meter does not move from center location, when in the operate postion the AFC meter will deflect slightly off center. Also when switching between Tune/Operate the frequency will jump. In the Tune position in appears the frequecy is 2kHz lower than the displayed frequency.
Question 2:
What is the correct type of microphone for use with front panel connection on the AM-2062/URC? High Impedance?
Question 3:
How should the CM-126/UR be utilized?
Any other operating advice would be apreciated as this is a remarkable piece of radio gear and is a fine addition to my boat anchor collection.
