I just saw this radio for sale by the Government of Canada surveillance site near Sarnia Ontario. Sarnia is across the river from Detroit.

They took a picture and I can see the receiver is working as it has passed the self test. If it did not pass it would show error of some number. I used to own one of these, great radio

These radios were overhauled and placed into sealed MIL-Spec storage a number of years ago, so you have a very good shot of finding a working unit.
Obviously if you get a Sarnia ham to look at it and report here you will get a better idea.

Here is the place that is selling it.

Hello Bill

Do you know this RX HF-2050 a little bit?

- How is the performance compare to some other RX?

- Is the power supply really a "heat-problem"?

- Any known problems??

- Do you have a list what error number is what problem?

- What is the street price of that RX?

Pleas let us know
