There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that the KWM series has had a profound influence on the amateur, military, and commercial HF radio market over the past four decades. Their unprecedented commerical success has made these radios legends. Seems the  QST ad from August 1967 (right) wasn't really ahead of its time after all . . .
